Scripture:

  • Proverbs 13:22: "A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children, but the sinner's wealth is laid up for the righteous."
  • 1 Peter 4:10: "As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace."

Biblical Story: "One powerful example of stewardship in the Bible is the story of Joseph in Egypt, found in Genesis 41:33-57. Pharaoh appointed Joseph to manage the resources of Egypt during seven years of abundance, knowing that seven years of famine would follow. Joseph collected and stored surplus grain during the plentiful years and then distributed it during the famine, ensuring that the people of Egypt and surrounding nations were provided for. Joseph's wise and faithful stewardship saved countless lives, elevated his status, and brought glory to God. This story illustrates the importance of foresight, planning, and responsible management of resources."
